@crowley53
I had one large one that went from my optic nerves, partially wrapped around the right one, down, pressing on the pituitary gland, which was pushing it to the side, and back to my internal carotid arteries and wrapped around one of them. The surgeon said he was able to tease it off the Optic nerve and away from the pituitary gland and removed all except of a cuff of tissue around the internal carotid arteries. He said messing with the internal carotid arteries was way too dangerous. He said if he nicked it there’s no way to stop the bleeding and you die. So now I have to go back and have radiation for the residual tumor. it sucks. I wish he could’ve gotten all of it, but I understand how dangerous that could be.

@jasonl1012 , sounds like mine.

@jasonl1012 , is the tumor growing? Do you have symptoms from the leftover tumor around the Carotid?

@jasonl1012

My goodness! That is dreadful. What an ordeal for you.
And radiation. Yes, glad the surgeon did not take that risk.
