the pain from neuropathy never goes away completely but you can make it go away by taking your mind off it like reading, watching movies, or playing games on Kindle such as scrabble and you'll find yourself out of pain and nodding off. Sometimes I'm out of pain all night for no reason at all but other times the pain keeps me awake all night. Does anyone else have this mystery? Vyolet

@vyolet

My neuropathy is more an annoyance than pain. I now found out that I have celiac disease--it usually gives someone gastrointestinal distress but this is not the case with me, especially since I am now maintaining a strict gluten-free diet. However, it is quite possible that my PN is caused by this autoimmune disease and even though I am on a gluten-free diet, I still have neuropathy issues. I believe that the reason why some days are better than others in terms of PN could be due to weather factors allergies etc. There is an ultrasensitivity to this condition . Last night the wind was howling here--woke me up and now this morning my feet felt a bit weird but not pain. We all need to be more body aware and your efforts at distraction probably do help!
