I'm still not well.

I lost my ability to speak and had no control over my body movements

I've had no support not even offered a stroke scan to eliminate that.

@jennax Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! And how did you find us? I’m glad that you did find this site! Let’s hope we can help you! There must be a sentence missing somewhere and it mentioned that you were on Duloxatine. Is that right? I would suggest that you call or visit the person who wrote the prescription. They NEED to know how it affected you. I, too, was put on Duloxatine as an adjunct to my antidepressant. Luckily, I didn’t have the same reaction as you, but I took myself off anyway. Just didn’t like how it made me feel. That’s enough about me! I suggest that you also call the company that made the medicine. They are supposed to keep written documentation of any serious side effects.
You also said “no legal standing being mentally ill” Are you mentally ill? If you have a caseworker or doctor who keep an eye one you, you might also let them know about your reaction.
Are you getting speech therapy or physical therapy to help?
Enough from me! Let’s let others give you their two-cents worth!

@jennax , every one of my medications come with an adverse-reaction warning as well as a note to contact the phone number listed, as well as your Primary Care or prescribing physician. I don't understand why you say yoou have no "legal standing." Do you mean Legal Recourse? You sure do! If any harm was done (looks that way), you can alwayd look for a pro-bono Attorney to file for damages, etc.
Did you notify your drug company, pharmacist, or physician? If you did, there was obviously a mishandling of your case (another lawsuit?) that should also be addressed by someone with medical experience.
