@kallettla My situation is similar. I always exercised regularly (weight bearing), and ate healthy (maybe not so much calcium intake as needed but otherwise) and my grandmother, mother and sister all have osteoporosis so I got it also. I think the DNA part can't be overcome by lifestyle in every case (I'm sure there might be some who have). I am on the 10th injection of Evenity (no problems with this med) and have a Dexa in Jan and then will see what is next. I did not want to take meds at all but I decided I wanted to try to remain active as long as possible and realized osteoporosis is serious and can cause all kinds of issues.

@deborahla I hope the Evinity does us good! I watched my grandmother's long death due to a hip fracture. Five years bedridden and my dad moved into her house and cared for her. She was so out of it for five long years. It was horrible. I am trying not to be her!

@deborahla Have you been told what the acceptable gap time is between your last Evenity visit and starting Reclast or something else? Thanks so much.
