Hi, @mikaylar - just to be sure I understand what you are asking, I think you are talking about an epidural blood patch used for post-dural puncture headaches, which can occur after a spinal tap?

No, these are for constant headache. They take blood from your arm and put it where they think there is a tiny hole in our spine. If you are lucky, after 5 days of lying flat, the blood will heal the hole. Then, no lifting, twisting, bending for 3 mos.

@lisalucier That is why I questioned if there was spinal surgery involvement. I'm not sure why there would be a hole to patch if there was not an invasive puncture wound. Are you understanding? Am I missing something? I agree the symptoms (dizziness etc.) fit the prognosis, but where is the possible leakage coming from?
