An MRI will tell whether or not there is any evidence of tumors in your prostate. If there are, they will give them a PIRADS score of 1-5. A PIRADS of three through five means that you should get a biopsy if your PSA has also risen. Four and five score are definitely showing cancer, The three score is iffy.
A PSE test can show if there is cancer In your system. If it shows none then you don’t need a biopsy.
