I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name. It felt good to be out of the rain. In the desert, you can remember your name because there ain’t no one for to give you no pain.
The worst lyrics for a pretty melody!!

4 ReactionsHello casa123,
A song from the early 90's by Aaron Tippin, "You got to stand for something" or you'll fall for anything; this lyric is one of my bedrock beliefs. It's OK to believe in something besides yourself and whatever your beliefs, regardless if their a spiritual journey or not. I ve lived 80 plus years now and fully have a spiritual relationship with God as I know him and from my spiritual readings.
I am not a follower of organized religions: I actually follow many different spiritual journeys and explorations of their varying belief systems and I can see ao God in each and every religion. I can also see and feel a presence of a holy person in many individuals, individual places and in all of creation.
So basically, I believe this lyric I stand on might hopefully peak your interest as a contribution to your writing: An excellent idea and thoughtful suggestion.
Best to you and keep on keeping on. Joseph
I've responded to this post several times but heard an old song yesterday from my teen years by Uriah Heep. Seemed relevant for a heart transplant guy. Here are some lyrics from Stealin'
Fighting. killing, wine and those women
Gonna put me to my grave
Runnin'g, hiding, losing, crying
Nothing left to save..,
But my life!

1 ReactionWell you only need the light when it's burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you've been high when you're feeling low
Only hate the road when you're missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go- In loving memory of my aunt
passenger- let her go

2 ReactionsOld song from the 50s: "YOU"
You, You, You, you send me, send me, send me. Honest you do, honest you do.
I don't know why I like it but it is stuck in my head all these years.
