Had it on Tuesday. No cement and collared stem.
Thigh bone was deemed ok, but he does not want me doing much other than 1500 steps max/day. Wants to be sure that stem has started to knit into bone. 2 weeks on walker and 2 on cane is what he has prescribed.
Had to stop Fosomax as I have a lot of drugs that make my stomach unsettled.
When healed, I may consider Tymlos. This was my second and I found that I had to raise bone issues. Neither of my surgeons did. Good luck with the THR.
