Any long Covid people here who developed lung nodules?
As part of the clinical long Covid study I’ve been doing for a year, I had a clean chest X-ray a year ago. Monday they found a 9mm nodule in my right posterior lung as well as “minor air trapping.” I’ve never smoked.
They referred me to their (University of Illinois Chicago) Lung Nodule department. The said they have seen cases lung nodules with long Covid. My symptoms have been fatigue and brain fog. This was very unexpected and worrying, since my dad died of lung cancer two years ago and cancer also got his sister and mom.
Have you seen any reputable studies or articles on this combination? I’m finding quite a few on my own and would like to see someone else’s “homework” if they’ve already been looking at it.

has anyone with lung nodules from long covid, had the nodules disappear ?
or had the nodules increase in size , requiring surgery or biopsy?
My Doctor said that there is a chance they will go away
thank you
I had 2 nodules increase in size, but my Pulmonologist cousin said it could be inflammation as opposed to permanent growth. I’m hoping that is the case when I have my next CT.

1 ReactionI have the same three long Covid symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, and lung nodules. My lung disease was termed, interstitial lung disease, and that’s the pulmonologist I see now. I haven’t done any research on the three being related. But I look forward to seeing what you or others have found. Thanks!
Rudizzy2, thank you, lets keep this post going, lung nodules seem to be common with long covid
has anyone gone thru Dr Bruce Patterson treatment plan, and if so did this resolve the lung nodule issue
@rudizzy2 did your Dr. Hi I'm and confirm the noduals or Do MRI?
I know prior to Covid 19 ever showing up I helped treat people on a ward with this specific lung issue it also has 2 forms https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/17809-interstitial-lung-disease
https://www.webmd.com/lung/what-is-idiopathic-pulmonary-fibrosis
So Idiopathic is same scarring just no Noduals in the lungs
@donlaujr check this out! I have inflammation in my entire body head to toe which alot of long Covid patients end up with over active immune system which your body is trying to get rid of the particles the COVID 19 virus or Variants left behind( issues is they were able to hide in the human body inside of other cells so we'll that the immune system had a hard time defining it which is why at first for millions and millions of u the Body didn't really have a normal response to the virus. Low temp of any temp at all . Like 100 degrees for a day or 2 max etc

This Doctor written information explains why the long covid body is diagnosed with Nodule inflammation even though apparently over 98 to 99 % is not Nodule. I am not saying your Doctor is not correct. I just know that so much of what the body experiences seems to be coming from the over exh6 immune system. Which can cause severe swelling inflammation all over the body head to toe. It can cause months where your blood pressure is high or that you go to stand up and your blood pressure drops to the or you will almost pass out yet it seems to be for lack of better wording some of it temporary. I personally have had long covid since about June of 2020 my body has gone from having Full Body crashes ( your body will paralyze itself to some extent) due to over active stress as I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and chronic Fatigue Syndrome at first with the same time I was diagnosed with Covid Toe and for many of us it causes our eyebrows and some of all of our hair to fall out which mine did. By Dec 2021 I caught Omicron and that is where the fatigue became over whelming maybe 3 hrs a day I was able to move the rest was fatigue so bad If I went to the bathroom I had to do more pacing which is if you do anything Activety your create a resting time laying flat no sound etc if you can . So I would do dishes and pace for 2 hrs I would take a shower and pace for 2 1/2 hrs etc that wayy fatigue was not overwhelming . Right now I am stuck with Fatigue and over active immune like I said causing severe all over plus lung inflammation. Which in Maine Dr act like Long COVID is a 4 letter word( BaD) and doesn't exist . So I am having to do all my own research and what ever treatment I can on my own . Did any type of BHOT therapy which I can not what to get I have to go to a specialist and pay outta pocket. Or anything for my lungs etc
