@mjcmjc Hi....I've had severe trigeminal nerve pain for years caused by a dentist. The only thing that has ever worked was to take steroids when necessary....taking pills daily wasn't the answer for me....side effects were horrible....then because of my constant research I discovered a non-invasive procedure thru the Mayo Clinic called Scrambler Nerve Therapy....again, non-invasive and no pain. Further research lead me to a clinic in Clifton, New Jersey called Calmare Therapy NJ....I live in New York City...Long story short, I did the therapy which consists of 10 days of treatments....It is not covered by insurance but I didn't care....All I can say is I'm almost two weeks pain free....My cost was to hire a care service to take me there and then back home ....The procedure is approved by the FDA....The clinic is only run by a father and son...and it's all that they do. Unfortunately, more doctors do not know about this program....Please check out either Scrambler Therapy at Mayo Clinic or Calmer Therapy NJ. Each session was about 30-40 minutes long and rather pleasant...Patches are attached to your specific pain area which are then attached to a special device. It's a pleasant "current" feeling and generally I would fall asleep during the sessions.....Let me know your thoughts....
