I am currently following a keto/intermittent fasting diet and feel great. It makes sense to me that when our bodies are constantly digesting food when we eat 3 meals plus snacks, it can’t use any energy towards autophagy. (Self healing). I had gained 25 lbs the year following my diagnosis (8/2024-6/2025). but have since lost 28. I have more energy and less cravings for carbs. Time will tell if it helps prevent recurrence but I know obesity adds to the risk so I’m happy to be losing weight.

I am about to start the keto diet. I have been practicing intermittent fasting for months and have lost 17 pounds. I would like to know how you do the keto diet. I have been hesitant because I also have kidney disease, and some of the foods in the diet are not good for the kidneys. I appreciate any suggestions you provide. Thanks and best of luck!
