Yippie Ki-Yay,…It’s Bell Day!
Well…I rang the bell at 10:48AM. IMRT to prostate x 20 @ 275gy - total 5500
Side effects - minor to moderate gastric discombobulation, some urinary frequency, fatigue and Jello legs.
Staff, “You can expect the worst of any short-term side effects about a week from now and last for 7 to 10 days. Then they will curtail.”
Me, “I couldn’t care less so long as I can “side effect” in my own bathroom and not have to know the location of every public rest room on my 2-hour drive here and back. See ya!”
What’s next? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PIZZA for lunch and a 2-inch-thick T-Bone for dinner!!!
Gastric issues be damned.

2 ReactionsCongratulations! I finished radiation in April, and my facility didn't have a bell! I did get a t-shirt and a certificate signed by all staff, so that was nice. All the best for your future!

2 ReactionsWhat comes next for you—PSA check at 3 months or so? That’s the plan for me.
Yeah, I can’t wait to get off this bland, restricted diet. Hope you savored every bite of that pizza and T-bone!

1 ReactionI just finished my sixth session of pluvicto and got to ring the bell. A great day. Wait for the self isolation to end and then back to reality.

1 Reaction@stup1dwaz...Yea but on the plus side, if the power goes out you could probably light a bulb like Uncle Fester 🤣🤣🤣
Sorry...my sincere best wishes!
Pluvicto is not in the cards for me. I've got that pesky TP53 mut that pluvicto doesn't play well with. Not sure what happens when I get to the point of needing that type of treatment.
@mjp0512 after my 3rd treatment psa went from 8 to undetectable. Side effects aren't bad and I'm happy with results. Been battling this thing for 25 years. Hope things work out for you. Uncle Fester doesn't have anything on me.

2 Reactions@stup1dwaz I rang the bell on August 30th after six weeks of daily weekday radiation. Told my oncologist that I was training for a century bike ride on September 13. My gastrointestinal issues cleared up with a week and I rode the ride, finishing in just over six hours moving time.
