Are there natural things that help?

Posted by grammypj @grammypj, 1 day ago

I've tried many things: supplements, foot soaks, exercises, creams, essential oils, changing shoes, compression socks, etc. I'm not diabetic and never had chemo. I believe this is a result of plantar fasciitis beginning 6 years ago from using a 'rebounder'.

Hello @grammypj, Welcome to Connect. Wished there was a simple answer to your question but in reality there are a lot of things that folks have mentioned helped with their neuropathy symptoms but they may or may not work for everyone. Here's a search of Connect for "neuropathy what helps" listing the many discussions and member comments to give you an idea of what everyone has tried including myself - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=neuropathy+what+helps.

I shared my neuropathy journey and what has helped me in another discussion here - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/310341/. You might also find alternative and complementary treatments listed on the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy (https://www.foundationforpn.org/therapies/) and the Western Neuropathy Association helpful (https://www.pnhelp.org/sites/pnhelp/files/COMPLEMENTARY_and_ALTERNATIVE_TREATMENTS_for_NEUROPATH1__Extradocx.pdf).

Have you been diagnosed with neuropathy?

@johnbishop Thanks for the suggestions. By being 'diagnosed' you are asking by tests or a doctor: no. I've read the symptoms and I can figure it out. I don't need a fancy title. After reading your experiences, I want nothing to do with all that.
