@jabrown0407 yes I take the prednisone with food, have not used NSAIDs, and consulted PCP. Prednisone use coupled with 81mg Aspirn needed to prevent a future stroke has been a challenge. I posed my original question to get a sense of others’ experiences with taking probiotics with prednisone. I have a dairy allergy or would be utilizing the consumption of yogurt or kefir. Appreciate any and all feedback. Much thanks!

This PMR diagnosis makes everything complicated!
Never had so many issues since a starting prednisone.

@cany Aspirin is the grandfather of all NSAIDs. NSAIDs are Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs and aspirin is where it all began. They can be OTC or Rx drugs - the Rx ones are all stronger than the OTC drugs.

Aspirin is known to cause internal bleeding if not taken and monitored properly and can even cause GI ulcers in some patients. Please proceed with appropriate caution and guidance from your prescribing doctors.

I wish you the best on your PMR journey. Hang in there.
