@mnewland99
My husband initially had a partial cystectomy where the diverticulum and tumor were removed along with 29 lymph nodes in the area. One was positive right beside the bladder. He followed with chemo and BCG but his very aggressive cancer kept returning so he chose a radical cystectomy/prostatectomy with neobladder. He had every complication you could get and multiple procedures for over a year after that but is now healed and cancer free. New normal has him self catheterizing 3-4 times a day but he did not want to deal with a stoma. He may have leaks at night but never during the day. Thank you for your well wishes. Prayers have gone a long way to get us through this.

@mnewland99 I was originally diagnosed in nj in 2023 at a community hospital . My California family asked who was the best in Southern California and was told Sia Daneshman at Keck /USC. I elected to stay on the east coast and went for a second opinion in NYC. I have to travel a bit but it’s worth it and have received phenomenal care at a major ny teaching hospital. My Drs here agree about Sia!
