My TRIMIX experience
I've been using Trimix for about six months with outstanding results. It did take some experimentation to figure out the best way to make it work for me. With hopes that it may help others, here's what I discovered using this medication: (BTW, I'm 71, one year post SBRT and 4 months Orgovyx)
- I have had to use the oral antidote several times (works well) in the early dose experimentation days for super hard erections lasting more than three hours (4tablets of 30 mg pseudoephedrine. Don't make the mistake of buying the extended release pseudoephedrine tabs). Make sure you have this on hand before you start this medication!
- I had to find the sweet spot for the injection site and depth. For me turns out to be the 10 and 2 o'clock position with the 1/2" needle almost fully inserted around mid-shaft.
- Shelf life on the Trimix in the refrigerator is limited. I can definitely see a difference in the results at the 3-4 week period. For me, it became pretty useless after 4 weeks, even at a higher dose. To help extend the life, I now fill all syringes with the needed dose as soon as I get the medication and immediately place all syringes into the freezer until needed. Now, I take a syringe out about 30 min before needed and it's ready to go. This is working well and my pharmacist said this should extend the shelf-life to 6 months or more.
- After injecting, massage the entire penis and base to help distribute the medication throughout the muscle structure. This will help significantly.
- Stand for the first 5-10 minutes after injection as gravity aids in the blood flow into the penis.
This medication has been a lifesaver for me. I was afraid I'd never see a useful erection again. Now, I'm back to 18 in that regard-- actually better than 18 as my erection stays hard even after an orgasm! Best of luck guys! Be aware that your partner may hide your medication if you use it to often. (-:

2 Reactions@florida11 @babyboomer1960 I use this exact one for rehab too, and it works great for that. But for sex, not so much. You have to stretch the tension rings around the big tube and then slide it over after pumping, which is a hassle. The bands snap pretty easily because of the size of the tube, and replacements aren’t cheap, around $22 for two, plus shipping. Ridiculous cost for what they are.

2 ReactionsTo @maverick75 and all of the other men currently using or contemplating the use of TRIMIX.
I had my RALP completed in October of 2022. I had very strong and normal erections at age 68. After my surgery my incontinence issues lasted about 6 months before returning to normal.
After 12-18 months following my surgery, my emotional and sexual desires returned to normal but I could only produce about an 80%-85% normal erection at best. Almost hard enough but not quite.
Occasionally, I could produce a normal erection for successful intercourse. However, my erections are rarely strong enough on my demand or desire to have sex.
Cut to the chase. None of the pills did anything for me. Interestingly enough, prior to my surgery, if I wanted to get a harder erection than normal I would take 20mg of CIALIS and it worked great for that extra bit of strength and longevity. However, to this day, neither CIALIS or anything else at any dose produces any results what so ever.
My Urologist and I decided to try TRIMIX and I immediately got my sex drive and sex life back with the ability and confidence to know that I could have a strong erection any time I desired. Additionally, the ability to have intercourse with my wife more often with a resulting stronger hard on more often helped me get my own, stronger erections on my own more often!
The more you use it the stronger it gets.
I am a huge supporter and a very happy and satisfied user. I strongly recommend that any man still incurring problems with getting and maintaining strong erections should definitely try TRIMIX. You wont know unless you try it. The fact is, the needle is very short snd you hardly notice any pain at all. The pain is more in the thought about it than actually doing it.
It’s pretty much a guaranteed erection.
Good luck and best wishes to you all.
Phil

7 ReactionsI have used trimix maybe half a dozen times in the last three months, I’m 13 months post surgery and about 10 months post radiation and 10 months into ADT.
My experience is somewhat disappointing with only about 75% erections and have to incorporate the pump in the process to achieve penetration. No orgasms and a little bit of pain so not super motivated. Had a follow up with surgeon this morning and discussed possibly changing the formula but wants to address the groin pain I’m still having. I will say I’ve only used up to five units thus far for fear of overdoing it but have some Sudafed on hand now so will try more soon. Thanks for any feedback and good luck to all of you. Brett

1 Reaction@brettiquette Hi Brett, I had my prostate removed in January and recently started using Trimix. I’m still in the learning stage, so sometimes I hit the right spot and sometimes I don’t.
So far, 5 units seems to work but I just started ADT two weeks ago, and my doctor said it could affect erections, so I might need to adjust my Trimix dose over time. He suggested starting with 5 units, then trying 7 if needed, and 9 if that still isn’t enough and so on.
One night I made the mistake of taking my daily Cialis too close to the injection, and my erection lasted more than three hours. I didn’t have Sudafed, so I was nervous. I started walking around the house, and that helped bring it down.
Don’t give up on it, it just takes some fine-tuning to get everything right. Have you noticed any changes in your libido since starting ADT?

Thanks for the encouraging words. I’ll try a larger dose and see how it goes. 9 units? Wow! That’s most of the syringe yeah? Where do you feel the right spot is? My libido is is definitely in the toilet but I do desire to be intimate with my wife. I had a non nerve sparing surgery so am likely to have issues going forward. Tried to make a case for intermittent ADT, wasn’t thrilled but is going to consult my oncologist.
Fistbump to my fellow 1967er.

1 Reaction@brettiquette On my syringe, I can go up to 30 units, with 5 being the lowest dose shown. I’ve found the best results come from injecting about one-third to halfway up from the base, at the same angle shown in the image.
I was spared one set of nerves, but I don’t think I’ll ever get an erection on my own again. At my age, that’s been the hardest part to accept. My wife and I had a great sex life before surgery, and we’re doing our best to keep things going. Still, it’s frustrating to go through all these mechanical steps for something that once came so easily.
My doctor thought I might need 10 units or more since one nerve bundle was removed, so I don’t think it’s unusual to have to slowly increase the dosage until you start seeing results. Maybe someone else can share what dose they’re using and what process works best for them.
I was really fighting the idea of starting ADT, but I’m coming to terms with it. My Decipher score was high, and Sloan Kettering wants me to stay on ADT for 12 to 18 months while I go through radiation. Trying to eat right, exercise and ignore the fact that I am losing testosterone daily...ugh. Fist bump back at you '67!
@tomf For what it's worth, I found the following very small insulin syringe works best for me:
1/3rd mL syringe
29 gauge needle
1/2 inch needle length
I don't guess on the distance to insert the needle and simply insert the entire length. I've found it to be the perfect distance (not too deep, not too shallow) to be effective.
Walgreens carry these syringes. I live in Illinois so I do not need a prescription for insulin-sized needles.

Thanks for the diagram, what kind of dose does this look like to you on my syringe?
I was told to work my way up from 1 (10) up to 6ish (60).
