I am in a similar situation at 90 after 66 years of marriage to my deceased husband. I find the most difficult part of my life alone is to make the best decision of where to live, what to do, how to adapt to the losses. I believe it is part of grief and I know I need to engage more with people. I have a daughter nearby but I don’t want to interrupt her life. I am going to start working on socializing a bit more in order to feel less lonely. I think joining a group or regularly meeting with a friend is helpful. Also I know others who found solace in moving to a senior Independent living facility. That may be a choice but I’m not ready. Wishing you good days ahead. Helen

@helenjs09 One thing I've found out, don't do anything until you feel you are ready. After almost 53 years of marriage, my wife passed away unexpectedly in Feb 2025 and I made it clear from the start to my adult children, I am not making any changes until I've had time and more importantly, I'm ready. That shut down the suggestions. I found a support group helpful, and, in the group, we share things that help us work through the grief. You are right, adapting to changes is very difficult on many levels. Going forward, wish you the best. Ed
