@mimi09
No one can guarantee you an additional 10 years of life.
It’s all a guess predicated on cancer.
You slip and fall and break your hip.
You get into a car accident.
You have a stroke.
You have a heart attack.
What does cancer have to do with these things?
Nothing. But these things CAN happen and some are worse than cancer.
I reasoned when I had to drive 40 miles one way for chemo.
Thats 80 miles and in a metroplex.
My chances of getting into a car accident were greater than my dying with stage 3 cancer.
We must realize our time here is short and theres more to life after we leave here if you have a faith.
You must make your own choice. But no doctor can guarantee by having a surgical procedure it secures continued life.
During the procedure they might find you have other problems going on or your cancer is worse than they thought.
“Tomorrow is promised to no one.”
Please understand, Im being genuine here and not meaning or saying this harmfully.
Best to you.
79 years is a lot of living. Youve been blessed!

@ebtexas55 I was never looking for a guarantee, only a guess that stats indicate would be the possible number of years a specific protocol COULD ADD to my life. There are no studies that can postulate even a 3-5 year possibility.
Why go through the pain/trauma/stress? Especially when the average, HEALTHY woman would only live another 1-2 years. Life is too short to live the remainder of it on tenterhooks. We each make our own decisions …

@ebtexas55 Amen. There are no guarantees. I even question these charts/information that IF you take AIs your chance of reoccurrence is such & such percentage. Every body is different. Previous illnesses, your immune system etc. We have to make decisions for ourselves using medical information as best we can from doctors and research. Blessings to you snd all that are on this journey.
