PRRT Question

For those of you that have already had PRRT, was it done through a PICC line? Was it inserted the day before procedure or day of?

@vinnie694 did you have kidney damage as a result or side effect?

@tgsenn70 As far as I know from the way I feel and the scan tests, I do not have any kidney damage, prior to, during, and after the infusion you are on a amino acid drip to help prevent damage to kidneys and other organs.. But there is that risk..

PRRT might contribute to vein damage. Waiting for PET scan now, and its been harder for them to do IV injections since the PRRT. However with so many other things going on it would be hard to pinpoint any one cause.

I was told PRRT flattens your veins
I always had bad veins
I bring those instant hot compresses
They are a life saver the veins pop right up from the heat

That's what they finally did yesterday, used a hot towel.
