Maybe I am missing something but it seems that those who are receiving Brinsupri could at least pipe in as to how they got it covered. I would think that would give me the best insight. I doubt if Medicare would be able to suggest a plan D that might approve Brinsupri. But those who have ALREADY gotten it through Part D could say which plan worked for them? Am I misunderstanding something? Probably many have Advantage plans but some getting it must have a stand alone Part D that approved it.

@irenea8 I found this on another chat about Brinsupi. "Insurance for this is very personalized. It all depends on your plan with Medicare or your secondary. I have Part D as well as an AARP/ Medicare RX plan and other than an initial $1500 out of pocket charge I am fully covered. I am a patient at Mayo Jacksonville and had no problem getting a prescription from my Doc there."

I have the same plan which is United Health Care, parts A and B and D through AARP. In Florida when I subscribed years ago I called several doctors offices to see which one they liked best and who paid the bills, United Health Care came up repeatedly. Also AARP supports this plan. I have been on it for decades now and it is great if you sign up for the top plans they have.

@irenea8 I have Aetna plus United Health for D coverage. I asked who was paying for my Brinsupri and they said my insurance covered part of it and Pharmacy the rest….I’m also on Medicare. My copay is $10. Marilyn
