Hello Danny, it must be very frustrating for you and your wife with so much uncertainty. I have my first chemo session tomorrow, and I start on Monday ..3 months of radiotherapy 5 days a weeks. I’m not looking forward to this, and its effects it may well have on my brain and cognitive functions.
So, I understand, and am also scared. My biggest decision has been deciding to receive this treatment or go without it. Because although I have lymph nodes in my groin, they are not hurting and I have no physical effects so far from them being present in my body. In saying this they have metastaticized so the oncologist specialist are positive cancer will spread to other organs.
The decision to accept chemo has not been easy, as I live alone and know I will become quite ill from the treatment.
On a positive note I now have a place through this platform to discuss my feelings and uncertainty. So please keep commenting and posting on your wife’s condition and outcomes. Personally I have found this to be extremely helpful to put a voice or journal my thoughts and listen to others who have similar concerns.
It is sad news for your wife, and your concern is naturally very worrying for you. It’s so difficult to keep positive and brave. To be the best support you can you must look after yourself and also be kind to your own psychological needs. Keep posting.

Hello @susan38
I appreciate you posting about your upcoming treatments. It sounds like you have given this a lot of thought and consideration and I wish you well.

Will you continue to post updates as you go through this process?

@susan38 Good after noon Susan. Hoping all is well on your chemo and radiotherapy. Our prays are with you to a quick recovery. As for my Annette her conference call had a set back. Because her potassium level was low 2.8. And it has to be 3.2 for the surgery. Her doctor put in a prescription for her to take two times a day. And have a blood Saturday to see if it’s ok for the surgery. Hoping all goes well. Have a blessed day.
