@scottbliz Although your surgeon will probably ask about this anyway, I would make sure to share your family history. The known, strong family history of aneurysms is important and might influence the surgeon's recommendations. If you have specific details about your family members, e.g. aneurysm location, size, age, this will be useful to the surgeon. Best wishes to you.

@scottbliz my husband was diagnosed with an Ascending Aorta Aneurysm, with a leaky valve, about 8 years ago. Apparently it showed up in older films, (2006) but, he wasn’t informed. He started around 4.2 and his last was 4.4. So it’s very slow growing. Recently he has been having trouble stabilizing his BP, and off we go to his Cardiologist to see what’s going on. He is seen or tested by his team every 6 months. Good luck.
