Joint Replacement

Has anyone been diagnosed with sensitivity or allergic reaction to the metal in the prosthesis?

Has anyone had a partial knee replacement? My doctor is suggesting this procedure as the outside of the knee and midsections are normal. I am surprised as the other surgeon I saw wanted tkr but barely looked at my X-rays! I am having an mri for confirmation of the outsider viability of my knee.

@nme1985
I've had TKR on both knees, one turned out O.K., the other is still not right even with a revision.
I'd just like to address Doctor's diagnosis and opinions. My experience following eight years of seeing many different doctor's for my bad knee is that the more doctor's you see the more opinions you'll get. I'm convinced they perform surgical procedures as they are taught in medical school but if the surgery fails they grope for answers but ultimately you're on your own.
Best wishes on whatever you decide, and remember the success rate odds are in your favor.
