@artgirl7: I took Omeprazole 10mg for about 10+ yrs. Stopped abruptly and replaced with an over the counter Famotidine 20mg in am! I have been on this regimen for several yrs and only had one gastro-reflux episode after a spicy late night dinner ( I know better!!!). Check with your doc, but this has resolved my reflux problem and also the risks of long-term Omeprazole usage. Hope this is helpful. Best health to you! Bette
