So I had an ankle arthroscopy with debrigement on September 18th. They found significant tissue in the joint which was removed. Most of the ankle pain is gone what is new is I have little feeling to the top of my big toe and the top of foot. I’m assuming it’s because nerves were moved or damaged.

Hi, I had surgery on my left tibia in 1973. It took 10 years before the feeling in my left big toe returned! No one tells us the expected after results of surgery. My back surgery 6/2021 left me with dizziness for 3 years! I think from the anesthesia...it was a 4 hr surgery.
I have a bad left ankle as a result of the 1973 surgery but I am hesitant to have more surgery. So far my ankle doesn't totally collapse...but I only have 2 years left to decide....
I am sure your numbness is due to nerves being disturbed...hopefully not damaged...
