Has anyone had their knee pop out of joint after TKR?

I had a total knee replacement in February. In July my knee started to pop out of joint. In August I had a revision of my TKR to repair a shredded tendon. The tendon must-have shredded immediately after my TKR while still under the nerve block. I never had trauma or injury to my knee to cause the dislocation. Doctor said maybe my knee was weakened due, as my knee was in extremely poor condition prior to surgery.

Did your original surgeon make a traditional cut or did he do a midvastus or subvastus cut? If the former he would have cut and needed to repair the tendon; if it was mid or sub vastus, she would have gone under the tendon. I am guessing that your original surgeon did the traditional cut.

When a surgeon goes back in to fix a problem in a hip or knee replacement, it is called a revision. Not all surgeons do revisions and many who do (in my opinion) shouldn't. Was your revision done by the same surgeon who did the original replacement? If your knee was in extremely poor condition prior to surgery, the original surgeon should have seen that and corrected it. That is why robots assist human surgeons but don't replace them. The excuse offered you smells like left over fish.
