I dont know if it will be helpful but I took NAC following covid. My cousin suggested it for loss of smell. It worked for that. You can get it over the counter or health food store. I have heard there is a prescription version in other countries that works well for long Covid. I guess the benefits with the prescription one work even better but the health store version brought back my sense of smell pretty quickly. Its better than before I had covid.

@moecavicchi I have had a lot of success with NAC. I don’t take it consistently, but I have had short periods of time (2-4 days) where I take 600-1200 mg a day, and it has been hugely helpful for cognitive function and overall energy and PEM reduction. I have to be careful not to take it late in the day, because it makes me energized and awake. I use the Thorne brand, which is very reputable. NAC is the precursor molecule for glutathione, which is our body’s natural antioxidant. I have had benefits in my gut health from taking it as well as just feeling so much better. Makes me think that some of my issues are due to oxidative stress.
