I’m just finishing my 3rd year after having my entire left lung removed. I was afraid of quality of life issues going forward but it has worked out better than i expected. I play 9 hole rounds of golf 3 times a week. I just ’ came back from 16 days in Italy where i walked between 50-100 miles. And best of all NED after 3 years. Best decision was to go ahead with the surgery which i had done at Mass General in Boston.

@sonshine161, That's fabulous! Thanks for sharing your update, and for coming to Connect to share good news. Italy sounds wonderful.

Thank you for sharing hope!

I was 75 when I had the brain radiation, now 76

I'm 69 and just got bumped up to every 6 months checkup .

personally i think its what you make of it, ill be fighting till they drag my old body to town.
i am a fighter and have beaten odds worse than this. plan on being 100 and then whatever i can get after that. i know exercise helps, eating kind of proper helps but I've never really lived. worked my whole life till i hit the ground, literally. now i just need to find me a soulmate that needs me and my drive. that and stay away from any seizures and in 10 months will be driving again. keep
up the good fight, pray often and have that someone you can go through the days with you.
