@jermarsala I am 4 months past L3-4 fusion (which followed L1-2,3-4 micro-discetomys, L4-5 hemi Laminectomy and 3,4,5 foranotomies. The nerve pain in my left knee, butt, back of thigh and calf continue. A radio frequency ablation was then recommended at my facet joints at 3-4, 4-5, 5-1 due to ‘severe facet joint hypertrophy’ stated by the radiologist that read my 3rd follow up X-ray for the fusion. It is very frustrating and disheartening to have this pain continue. I am on Lyrica and Methocarbamol and take Tylenol 2-3 times a day.

@andi2 Welcome to Connect. I am a cervical spine surgery patient. All surgery creates scar tissue that gets tight and it can cause pain. My physical therapist did a technique called myofascial release and it stretches out the scar tissue. It tends to create a web of tightness and loosening it may help if your surgeon clears you for PT. You can find a lot of info under our Myofascial Release discussion and there is a provider search at mfrtherapists.com. There is also myofascial release.com for information. It’s not surgery and it may help. MFR has helped me a lot.

I had a spinal fusion at L5/S1 11 years ago and still in pain. I had a laminectomy a year ago for Spinal Stenosis. I go to a pain specialist and am on Norco and Gabapentin. He tried 10 small procedures and nothing helped. Unfortunately, I have to take these drugs to live a semi normal life.
