Low blood pressure
Since my chemo infusion I been having seriously low blood pressure. It's a daily morning struggle to keep it up; before the infusion I was on several BP meds and although it would get low sometimes I could always use salt or pickie juice to bring it up.

Chemo can cause a wide variety of side effects. Yes the fatigue is very common.
Chemo does not change your life, Yes, while you are on it, it can be not too bad or a real pain, Again, no two people are the same. I was in an Ancan.org Advanced prostate cancer meeting and one guy came in and said he was doing chemo but after doing chemo, for 10 days, he couldn’t eat food, didn’t taste good. He lost a lot of weight then he’d have a few days where he’d recovered completely, ate a lot of food, then back to the next chemo session. The other people that said they were just uncomfortable for a few days after, had to rest to recover.

2 ReactionsHow many infusions have you had so far? We just finished 6 rounds and the cumulative thing is very real. If fatigue come with low BP it is hard to be active at all. Be sure you aren’t getting swollen ankles etc. That’s a less common side effect some experience as it goes along.
Well I've only had one infusion so far I have another one this week if labs are ok.
Good luck with each round. For us, the first 4 rounds became somewhat predictable - first 1-2 days good, maybe energized from pre infusion steroid, then fatigue started. Everything started a wee bit earlier and lasted a wee bit longer, but he could tell when he was building back before the next round. In those first few rounds, he cleared part of a lot and put up a small deck. He said projects were his workout. His doc reminded that he didn’t have to ‘be a hero’. Pay attention, eat and sleep as well as you can and lean on your support team.

1 ReactionYeah those steroids give u a false sense of things.my wife said I was "wound up" I had to be hospitalized due to drop in my WBC I didn't have a post infusion injection. But thanks for your help. I hope you continue to get better 🙏
Yeah my bp goes up when I see my cardiologist
@asolidrock, this is often referred to as "white coat syndrome". My husband has the same reaction when having his blood pressure read in a clinical setting. Do you monitor yours at home?
Bless his heart I sure do relate. I tell the person taking my bp it was fine when i took it at home.
