Hello there!
I know a bit about medical care in NM and do know that several of my physician friends have gone out of state for their own care. You may need to check with your insurance provider - or pay out of pocket to go out of state - but have you considered Mayo in Phoenix? There is also an excellent regenerative sports medicine doctor in Phoenix, whose name I can give you if you wish.
All best,
Chiara (spillihped)

@spillihped
I will again have insurance for NM in January 2026. At the moment my Arizona insurance does not work well in NM and I have to wait for open enrollment. I was at Mayo in Phoenix but it is very difficult to get appointments with them. Do you physician friends get a referral from a NM doctor? If you know an excellent regenerative sports medicine doctor in Phoenix it would be great to have his informtion, even if I have to travel. Suggestions for Rio Rancho in NM appreciated so that i can get the correct insurance when I chose in open enrollment - that will be medicare or still through my employer if their plan changes sufficiently for NM care.

@spillihped who is that doctor?
