Scared of Abaloparatide injection

@mandie4712, There is a diuretic in Forteo so it causes more frequent urination. When I was on Forteo, and actually now on a half dose of Tymlos, I would wake up an hour or so after my shot and have to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, this has become a habit for me. Then I had to go again in about 2 hours. Tymlos also has a diuretic. The problem is frequent urination after the shot, but no infection.

Thanks for letting me know. There’s no way I can get up for a wee as I’m stuck in bed. I think I’m going to have to refuse the injections and take my chances. If I was able bodied I’d give them a try but I’m not able to walk at all so using the toilet is out of the question in the night and can’t keep waking up my husband.

@drsuefowler I can't find any evidence that either medication contains a diuretic. It seems odd to me. Do you have a source?
