@cmx wow, I am experiencing same thing exactly. Mine is right ring finger pad, slightly to right side/or my left if looking at pad/palm. I thought it was splinter, but it's been 2 weeks. I forget about it then am sharply reminded anytime something just brushes against my pad. I do have vitamin d deficiency and am taking vitamins for it past few weeks, wonder if it's from taking too many vitamins? Or deficiency? I'm 39. And overweight male, 270lbs. I work nights so I sleep during day( probably why vitamin d is so low). It's just the craziest sensation. Like fiberglass in the pad but nothing is there. I have felt similar stuff with eczema that pops up on my knuckles from time to time so I tried putting prescription cream on it TRIAMCINOLONE, which didn't help. Hope mine just goes away too but it is very odd and uncomfortable 😣. Sorry if any misspelling. At work on phone
