At near 80 yrs old and having little satisfying sex, even with myself, for the past 35 years because of antidepressants, I am presently slowly replacing Effexor with Mirtazapine in order to maybe experience sexual pleasure again. Wish me luck.

Hi David. Yes, wishing you luck as you asked. You and I are about the same age and neither one of us at this point our experience n sexual satisfaction either with ourselves or others as we did when we were young men. But life is good. We both got to a good age. I have to tell you your profile picture is handsome someone. Somehow I didn’t put a picture with my profile. Again, wishing you luck with your endeavors.

David, I hope the change in antidepressant works for you. With any degree of erectile dysfunction, delayed ejaculation due to an antidepressant is almost guaranteed to end sex or masturbation. With the delay, if I was able to have an erection it didn't last long enough for ejaculation. Effexor and other SSRIs were the worst offenders, but even Wellbutrin/buproprion, which is supposedly not a cause of delay, caused me to have delay problems.
