Penile Implant after prostate cancer surgery: Advice appreciated

Posted by jw1 @jw1, Aug 29, 2023

I am fixing to get a penile implant any advise, would be appreciated. Pain level, rehab time. If you had one done, would you, do it again? I am getting the Coloplast Titan 3/piece inflatable. Cancer survivor from prostrate removal approx. 1 1/2 years. I have tried the pills and injections & nothing works.

Hahahaha, Ya know, I think some guys would have taken her up on that.. Like, right NOW? 🙂

And another LOL - probably best that you didn't reply with the genitalia comment! haha

When did you have the IPP/AUS surgery? My prostatectomy was on 11/2023. The incontinence is out of control and after radiation, well, it probably isn't coming back.

Thanks for the help man!!

JW, food for thought, I’m in the same boat as you and would love to have an implant but the few times I’ve had a partial erection with injections I have no feeling in my penis at all thus no pleasure and no chance for an orgasm. What if you have surgery and like me can’t feel anything?? I’m afraid to go through surgery until I can feel something.

Best thing I ever did. It was painful immediately post op but after that smooth sailing. I have the same device. Make sure you have it done by someone who specializes in them and is at a Center of Excellence. Mine was at UC Irvine.

@vincenzo66 assume before you had surgery you were able to get an erection by some means and was able to get an orgasm, would you get an implant if your answer is no , would appreciate a response.I’ve made several comments in the last month with no comments, am I the only one that occasionally gets a partial erection tries to have sex and feel nothing??????

TBH I had the IPP surgery prior to a prostatectomy - ED was severe and non responsive to injections or oral meds. Now I have an MRI tomorrow after a psa of 10.7 so I may be just doing the same things backwards. I can feel fine at present. There are forums specific to ED solutions where the implant community is active many of whom are post prostate surgery.
