@brendakoviedo33: I assume the doctor who ordered the MRI had a recommendation after he read the report from the radiologist. What did the ordering doctor suggest as the next step?

Based on my experience, I encourage folks to go ahead and have the recommended treatment, which may include surgery. The meningioma won’t go away on its own and there’s some potential for things to quickly go really wrong, as they did for me.
As I’ve mentioned here, I had a stage 2 meningioma which bled, a stroke. And the odds of a successful outcome of the surgery went from maybe 9 in 10 to 1 in 10 (the neurosurgeon’s estimate when talking to my son who authorized the surgery) with that bleed. So instead of a routine scheduled surgery, there was a 911 call, a helicopter ride from a community hospital to a research hospital and emergency surgery at 3:30 in the morning.
This was almost 9 years ago. I realize the gift I’ve been given and try to make the best use of my remaining life.
