Had Left TKR in August 2024, Dr Mark Pagnano. I was back playing doubles tennis and Pickleball by Thanksgiving. Improves every month and I will be 77 on Sunday. My range of motion is not as good as my right knee, but still at 115 degrees. Since I bike >25 miles ( although I "feel" that knee with every rotation), tennis, PB, golf, walking and hiking...sort of told to be happy where I am. I do get pain that wakes me up. I have more pain in my knee from standing in the kitchen preparing for a party than from 90 minutes of tennis. So yes to the court sports. I am lucky to spend 4 Winter months in the Tucson area so can do these activities year round.

Good choice. Like my surgeon he does mini subvastus approach. I believe he does inverse kinematic alignment which is very similar to the functional alignment that my surgeon used.

Good for you. I am 80 and now 8 days post TKR. No pain except when I try to flex beyond what I currently can do. I start PT this coming Wednesday. For 9 months I was in pain and misaligned and barely walking with a cane. Now I can walk but I am going to (a) have to learn how to walk properly again; and (b) build up my endurance. During those 9 months I lost whatever body tone I had.

But I don't expect to ever be able to do the kind of biking you do. Great bike rides around Tucson by the way.
