@widude63

I honestly don't think that was a bad decision. The sooner you have more information, the better. You'll have a yes, it is or no, it isn't answer next week.

Unless it really sucks, then you might get a call over the weekend. (Or in my case, Friday night but my biopsy was on Thursday afternoon.) Wishing you a boring biopsy.

@mjp0512 Yes - I think it was good decision to proceed with the biopsy.

I had two high-quality, 3 Tesla multiparametric MRIs. The MRIs were 18 months apart and both concluded "PIRADS-3" (on a scale of 1 to 5) which is an indeterminate type of cancer conclusion. So after the second MRI I decided to schedule the biopsy. Results: Gleason 4+3 unfavorable intermediate prostate cancer with many cancer-positive (i.e., 9 out of 13) biopsy cores. Significantly worse than I had anticipated, but good to finally have some definitive concluding results.

With hindsight I wished I had proceeded with the biopsy earlier. I don't look backwards at this point but I'm certainly glad to share my experience with this group.

Best wishes to Widude63 in his biopsy.
