@texasduchess hope you are doing well. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am wondering if you ever NOT felt the tissue expanders or if you always felt them. For me, it feels like constant pulling on my chest/cleavage (where they are sewn), zapping, skin sensitivity, also like having a metal hanger/internal bra. I had my mastectomy in June and scheduled for reconstruction November. The closer it gets the more eager I am to get these out!

I wrote this on my Caring Bridge site as my surgery to replace the expanders with implants approached—"I am really looking forward to getting rid of the tissue expanders; I’ve had them more than a year now. They’re not as noticeable to me as they once were, but I still get poked and pinched at odd times and they can be painful."
