@madmouse43, I was diagnosed with idiopathic small fiber PN with the nerve conduction test (EMG) and didn't think it was painful but a little uncomfortable. Some blood labs along with a physical exam by a neurologist was also part of the diagnosis for me. Have you had MRIs of your spine to confirm a damaged/pinched nerve as a possibility?

Haven't had the MRI working solely at this point with my neuropathy being asymmetrical. The VA handles my care and still waiting to get the EMG test scheduled.
