Y90 AND Captem Combo
Pnets KI67 25%. My husband had 3 captems cycles. The last cycle had toxicity and became sick. Anyone experience Y90 procedure for Pnets mets to the liver? I have read many net patients use Captem to shrink tumors for a few cycles. Not sure why the Dr wants to dive into Y90 already. Unless it is because my husband got sick the last cycle of Captem. But didn't use anti nausea meds either, unfortunately. Anyone have good results with Y90 and was successful?

@rose4jim2417 I appreciate you sharing your husband's experience with Cap/Tem and Y 90. It appears that both treatments resulted in substantial tumor shrinkage.
How is your husband feeling? Is he able to eat and digest food well?
@hopeful33250, he is feeling pretty well and is able to eat and digest food. His appetite has decreased, which is not a bad thing. I have to say that he did have a flare up several months ago which resulted in targeted SBRT radiation treatments. The doctors were quick to say it wasn’t horrible news because 80% of his cancer remained the same and only 20% increased in size. He’s feeling great since his radiation treatments and we are looking forward to his next scan and results in December. We are thankful to God that even though it is stage four, it is treatable. Please try to stay positive. There are so many great treatments out there and we are so grateful to the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan and Dr. Sahai and all doctors and staff involved in Jim’s treatments.
@hopeful33250 I neglected to add that Jim has been on a land retied injection for his cancer every 28 days since the beginning of his treatment and continues to receive these.

@lindabees hi my sis hv stage 4 grade 3 PNET ,Liver modules.Captem doesn't work.did etopside and cisplatin.completes 6 cycle , desease progress.we are worried.can help is any such scenario what to do
Hi @sonalisaha09
Im sorry your sister has to go through this.
Is your sister's net a nigh grade? The reason I ask is because etopside and cisplatin is what is known as a platinum chemo which is used on more aggressive cancers and typically doesn't work on lower grade, slow growing tumors such as the majority of nets.
Fortunately, there are many other options out there including PRRT, everolimus, sutent, Cabometyx plus liver directed therapies such as embolozstions, ablation and the rece tky approved histotripsy. Is your sister seeing a NET specialist?
@lindabees grade 3.we are from india.treating from medical oncologist.potacium frequently droped gave correction.stomach pain states.noone can tell the cause
