I'm three years in.

I had Ramsay Hunt (no rash) and a mother of a sinus infection after I had COVID the first time.

I lost hearing in that ear.

The things that helped the fullness the most were Ayr Saline Nasal Mist throughout the day, and Flonase in the nostril on the same side as the plugged ear, then laying down for 15-30 minutes on that side. (Don't use Flonase if you are on other steroids, unless your doc says it's okay.)

I also took Allegra and regular Pepcid for a long time as they are histamine blockers. I'm not sure those helped at all, but at the time, it was the only thing I could find to try.

That particular issue is much better now and while I do have problems at times, the NeilMed Eustachi has helped a lot when following the directions carefully. DO NOT USE THIS DEVICE if your ears are completely plugged!

A holistic doctor recommended Quercetin. I used the liquid which was kind of a mess, but I think it really helped. I learned this earlier this year, and when my ear plugs up, I use it. She said that she uses it anytime she feels a cold coming on It stops it in its tracks. Also good for allergies. As always, make sure anything you try OTC is compatible with any other medications you're on.

If you have both ears blocked, I would make sure that you don't have a sinus infection. Then if you don't, I'd use whatever your doc recommends for an antihistamine. You might need imaging to see what is happening.

It really seems like no one knows what to do with these eustachian tube issues after COVID!

@drbf the Quericiten does that boost your immune system because I can’t take those because of my autoimmune system seems to do the opposite and make me more tired snd worse inflammation because my body is already attacking itself. I’m going to try more steroids cause that seems to help overall with the ear fullness and fatigue. Man the fatigue is bad. I was never tired by 7 pm now it’s so bad and I’m only 51. Ugh. Drs don’t care. I’m fighting my pcp on getting bloodwork to check for Covid antibodies because he believes there is no test for that ?? In what century is he living and if he’s lying why wouldn’t he want me to get it done ? So I have a no wait to get it now she go in and convince him to get it I guess. Ugh. Why are they ignoring the Covid issue now and back in 2019 they cared?!
