@lorrainepink I had 1 breast mastectomy and would like to get rid of the other one. I'm 82, very active, leading quite a life with my fiance' of 4 years. I was fitted with a bra with prosthesis that can be removed with ease when necessary. I'm feeling quite fine with one boob and I am just so thankful that the cancer is GONE!!!!! I decided that I will keep the one good one for "old times sake". LOL

That's great to hear Annie, I'm 78 and having a single masectomy in January. I thought about a double, but decided 'if it ain't broke don't try to fix it'. The cancer is gone and I feel great and ready to pursue my passions in life.

@anniez1943 That one breast had successfully nursed 3 healthy babies and attracted a husband. But for me at 79, it was just an appendage that was no longer useful. So no reconstruction for me either! My heart and soul are who I am, not that boob that’s outlived its usefulness. I love your spirit! Be strong and live a happy life! God bless you…
