@kathleenintexas oh girl. I have the same. I am 2 months in. They switched me to lyrica from gabapentin. It’s supposed to be stronger but this pain is never fully gone. Still have stiffness in forehead where shingles was and the scalp. Did the 1800 gabapentin get rid of pain completely ?

The gabapentin relieves the excruciating attacks, but my forehead, eye and scalp sometimes have pain, which is not fun, but is bearable. It almost feels like one of the big attacks, because it starts in the eye and goes to the back of the head, just like they did, but these are tamped down because of the gabapentin. I want to reduce the dosage, to see if I still need 1800mg a day, but I'm very nervous about having a big attack. I think I'll try it after the first of the year.
