I’ve been wakening every 1.5-2 hours to void at night for years. I’ve been managed with tadalafil and Myrbetriq for years with some relief, having failed to tolerate most alpha blockers in the past due to unpleasant retrograde ejaculation as a side effect. Now I am 2 days out from completing 5-day SBRT and have urge to void every 30-60 min, difficulty starting my stream (better since starting Flomax [retrograde ejaculation seems moot now after radiation and Lupron] along with frequent sensation of a need to defecate with one episode of mild fecal incontinence this AM). I know, or at least hope, this will get better with time. Sleep is interrupted throughout the night with visits to the commode every 30-60 minutes and I am exhausted. Still, I am delighted to think my cancer is going to be remedied by RT and ADT and this all, too, shall pass.

After SBRT having to get up at night frequently to pee is not unusual, for a little while. That problem usually goes away within four or five months and can improve steadily over 1 or 2 months following treatment.
