@ronludington, I have been able to keep mine fairly stable around my target, but in my case my aneurysm is already repaired, so the target may be different if yours is not, so don't dismiss the target they give you. I have mentioned before, not all cardiologists understand fully the implications of aortic diseases, some specialize in them and that is the type of cardiologist you should look for, it makes a huge difference in care, follow up, answers, etc. My cardiologist still monitors and makes emphasis on my BP because other aneurysms may appear, there seems to be a propensity in my family (I also had a brain aneurysm, also repaired)

Hope everything goes well for you, remember a surgeon will help you prepare for surgery and will see you a couple of times after, but the cardiologist will follow you up for life, so it is very important to get a good one.

@houston13 , I'm in the process of getting one now, referred to the sanger vascular clinic co-director. I was not thrilled with my appointment with the vascular surgeon. Since she wouldn't be working on me, it seemed like she did t have much interest.
