I walk a mile on the track across the street twice every day. I started drinking electrolytes before going out and I can run around the track the whole time without any breathing problems. If I don’t drink the electrolytes, I can only run halfway around the track and I have to walk for a little while and then I can run again.

It really surprise me how much electrolytes helped.

Interesting that somebody should respond to this after so much time.

I now can run around a mile track without stopping whether I take electrolytes or not. Built up the stamina using electrolytes. I’m not even breathing heavily when I’m done. I do sweat a lot most of the time.

@jeffmarc YES to electrolytes. As a marathoner, I find they're absolutely essential, especially to prevent cramping. They are the secret sauce in Gatorade and some other athletic drinks. And as we're challenged to stay active on ADT, electrolytes deserve even more attention.
