@loriesco, I love the strength of your replies. This may be about Harry's Thighs. I wanted to make this a new post with that title.
Do you know who you are talking to when you call the manufacturer's help line. They aren't exactly experts.
So, in the thigh the drug is more slowly absorbed. The pth medications are rapidly absorbed anyway. The area around the stomach has more fat and that fat has attendant blood vessels.
This can make a difference with a drug like insulin unless it is the slow release version.
I don't think it matters with Tymlos. The endocrinologist I see says it makes no difference.
But imagine Harry without an ounce of fat on tight muscular thighs. Hard to even pinch the skin into an injectable lump.
Harry's package insert may only offer the area around the naval as an injection site.
(Don't forget that you are in California)

@gently you are always “gently” for a reason. Did you see him write anything about his thighs? I didn’t. And here’s the thing I supplied the website where it gives ALL of the places injectable! I see no restriction. And if he has something personal going on, he has no right to make others think that they can’t do it in a variety of places that dis or misinformation. You can simply anyone can simply google where to inject TYMLOS and AI will give you a whole host of options. And the website itself that I posted the link as well. I don’t care that. He’s a former nurse. There’s absolutely no information anywhere that says one needs to restrict their injections to the belly. If they did, I’m sure most people wouldn’t inject the medicine as it’s very painful. (at least my belly is the worst spot, but I do it just to keep it in the rotation.) under my arms I can’t really reach because of my cervical spine surgery and it is also very painful cause I don’t have enough fat there. His backache could be due to the fact his stomach muscles are tensing up and they are pulling on his back muscles. And what about the tie trading up?? of course it’s not recommended to titrate up! But that doesn’t mean that we don’t use discretion and contact the manufacturer and our doctors and make adjustments. As you well know, there’s a whole host of people who would also have given up on the medicine if they couldn’t titrate and build a tolerance. I ended up being one of those people. I understand of course why it’s not recommended and the website is clear about their recommendation. That is done for liability purposes and to not deviate from what they’ve successfully studied. So I understand why it’s not recommended. However, one’s doctor should be consulted and it’s up to us as a community to offer the option by which a patient can inquire of their doctor. That was how I was able to titrate. It is another thing that one can find easily on the Internet. Terri, I hear your wisdom, I reported the post because I thought it was misguided and people are injured so easily by other people‘s words. He was so adamant. I just don’t want people to be fearful of options which may help them. Makes sense?
