@loriesco, I love the strength of your replies. This may be about Harry's Thighs. I wanted to make this a new post with that title.
Do you know who you are talking to when you call the manufacturer's help line. They aren't exactly experts.
So, in the thigh the drug is more slowly absorbed. The pth medications are rapidly absorbed anyway. The area around the stomach has more fat and that fat has attendant blood vessels.
This can make a difference with a drug like insulin unless it is the slow release version.
I don't think it matters with Tymlos. The endocrinologist I see says it makes no difference.
But imagine Harry without an ounce of fat on tight muscular thighs. Hard to even pinch the skin into an injectable lump.
Harry's package insert may only offer the area around the naval as an injection site.
(Don't forget that you are in California)
@loriesco I called Tymlos. Injection only in stomach. No titration.
I had a long conversation with my Endocrinologist and his clinical pharm. No titration, shot in stomach.
