Anyone else doing OsteoStrong and AlgaeCal with Strontium?
I had three doses of Fosamax in June, 2024. After the third dose I developed ilial tibial band syndrome--probably the worst pain I've had since childbirth! Mercifully, it disappeared soon after and I never took another dose. In researching non-drug options I came across OsteoStrong and AlgaeCal with Strontium. I started both about 15 months ago. In May, 2024 my lumbar spine was -4.1. Now it is -2.9. Left hip has improved from -2.6 to -2.0--in 15 months. My endocrinologist is STILL pushing Reclast! I'd appreciate thoughts from you all, please.

Just started Algae Cal, tastes like a dog bone. I can usually drink something bad tasting if it’s good for me, but this stuff is really bad. Not sure I can stick w it.
Yikes! Are you taking AlgaeCal plus? It's a capsule and so is the Strontium Citrate. No taste at all.

Will look into Strontium Citrate.
Have to ask my GI dr because I have a tumor on my pancreas and don’t simulate vitamins properly.
Thanks for the reply
With those improvements I would continue what you are doing!!!

Hi, I have been struggling with what an effective, but safe amount of vitamin k is for osteoporosis. I want to make sure I am not taking too much K also. Any recommendations on K. Does anyone take Pure Encapsulations Synergy K? Is a small amount of K effective?

1 Reaction@karenolivia4 - You mention OsteoStrong. Do you mean the clinic (not a supplement)? Ive been wanting to try the clinic out, and based on your post (if you mean the clinic), I will!

1 Reaction@sl303 thank you for sharing this link. It is one of the most thorough papers I have read about how to address osteoporosis through the right exercises. For those of you who haven’t had the chance to read it, I have taken screen shots of the main takeaways:
